No, the archive function does not employ the include/exclude options.  The
include/exclude options only apply to "backup" function.

Does anyone know whether the archive command uses the include/exclude
options?
The documentation seems to imply that include statements are used to assign
a
management class to files being archived but whether a file is selected for
archive depends completely on the file specification(s) given in the
archive
command, not on any include/exclude statements given in the options file or
the
incl/excl file (unix).

Thanks for any input or any pointer to where this issue is addressed.
