This is the impression I get from reading the various bits of documentation
for the Notes Connect Agent. Does this match with everyone else's
experience?

1. Restores using the connect agent can be very slow, so IBM recommends
doing a regualr archive with the NT Backup/Archive client to get a copy of
the database file itself to speed the recovery process.

2. To roll in changes since that archive, one should use the dsmnotes
restore command specifying a fromdate of the last full archive.

3. This restore will update any data documents (and only data documents)
that have changed since the last restore.

My question is this: If I want to restore a server full of Notes databases
and make sure that all documents are restored (including design documents
and ACL information), I apparently have to use the connect agent. Is this
true? Furthermore, are folders considered design documents or data
documents when doing a dsmnotes restore into an existing database?

This seems like quite a problem for server restores. Does anyone know
if IBM is planning to add the ability to incrementally restore design
documents?

Thanks,

Jon.
