Hi ADSMers,

I am having a problem with DB2 archiving it's logs to ADSM. I'm
using the sample db2 userexit found in the
/usr/lpp/db2_05_00/samples/c/db2uext2.cadsm. The supplied exit works
well, as long as there are no problems encountered. For example, it
seems that if I have established a session with ADSM, start my transfer
of data, and then have a server failure, that the process (in AIX
4.3.1) seems to get hung up. This also "seems" to cause problems when
the database is shutdown and restarted. On startup, I get the message
SQL1042 .. and have to use the restart database command.

Is there anyone out there that knows where in the API code I could
set a timeout value ? (I did find where to point to a different
dsm.opt file, but did not see any inactivity timeout parameter). Did
anyone have a similar experience that they would like to share their
solution ? All suggestions are welcome.

I am running ADSM server 3.1.1.5 on AIX 4.3.1.
I am backing up my DB2 UDB 5.0.0.26 logs from AIX 4.3.1, using ADSM
API 3.1.20.3

Thanks
