I don't think "error number 6" is an AIX error. Usualy AIX error are
displayed as "errno=#". Anyway, errno=6 on AIX is: "No such device or
address".

You can use the description on ANR8300E to look up in the Appendix B. of
the
ADSM V3R1 Messages guide. In this case:

OP=00006C03 -> ?
CC=207      -> Device is not in a state capable of performing request
KEY=05      -> Illegal request
ASC=2C, ASCQ=00 -> Command sequence error

Have you tried to power-cycle the library?
