Sri,  as expected, my primary backups only go back to 9/1. To get to 8/28 -
8/31 I'll think I'll need to use the copy pool tapes.  It looks like I'll need
to do a point-in-time db restore following the procedures in 6.1.7.1 in the
Admin Guide. I'd much appreciate any insights you may have.

Sri,  that's good news I'll give it a try.  I thought since with 7-day
retention, my primary backup  would have expired by 9/4.

Hi Don,
To recover data as recent as 8/28 you should be able to direcly restore it
thru point in time restore ( see the dsmc command menu for any help) . You
need not have to undergo the painful task of disaster recovery. Data would
be on the primary storage pool.
