Bo,

For the 3575 you'll follow the procedure for installing devices drivers
in the "IBM SCSI Device Drivers: Installation and User's Guide". This
will create a /dev/rmtx (where x is a number) for each tape drive in the
3575. Additionally, you will refer to the library as /dev/rmtx.smc. The
x in /dev/rmtx.smc should match one of the tape device names. For
example if you have a 3575 with four tape drives, and you already have
one tape drive defined as /dev/rmt0 (for example an internal 8 MM drive)
you'll have the following tape drive devices /dev/rmt1, /dev/rmt2,
/dev/rmt3, and /dev/rmt4. The you can refer to the library device as
/dev/rmt1.smc. With six tape drives you will have six SCSI devices and
the librrary device.
