Hello,

I'm trying to define a scratch volume in my 3590 library, but after
checking in the volume with STATUS=SCRATCH, I receive the following
error:

ANR8443E command: Volume volume name in library library name cannot be
assigned a status of SCRATCH. 

What does that mean?

MAXSCRATCH is defined to 100 in the storagepool.
Assigning a status of private to the volume will not help because the
ADSM-API (onbar backup) requests a scratch volume.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.
