Sorry for the tardiness.
Keep one other thing in mind: lots of available scratch tapes.
I am told the collocation goes something like this:
1) put every user on their own tape (n.users=N) where N is number of tapes
2) run out of tapes? (N+1) then put the N+1 user on a tape that is list full
with that particular user. Keep doubling, tripling, etc as needed.
Also: for the Novell user (before the next restore) you can do a
show volumeusage nodeid
(its one of those secret IBM support commands
so stand back and watch it run for a long time)
then do
move data for all the volumes shown while having
maxscratch above what's already in use and it will
move *all* the users on that tape list to their own vols.
