How does ADSM schedule Tape units for retrieve/restore

Hi,
I just observed that the ADSM server reserved a tape unit for retrieve
operation until the user quit the dsmc session. The session was idle quite
a long time. Is there no way to get ADSM to schedule requests for tape
units so everyone has to wait for approxinately the same time? I have ADSM
V 3.1.1.3 for AIX.
