You may want to change your bat file extension to CMD for WinNT.

Have you tried putting the redirection ( >c:\pre.txt) inside the precmd.bat
file instead of the dsm.opt?

        Now a DOS window flashes up for the pre- and postschedule command.
        But still none of both commands is executed.
        I modified the commands to pipe the output to a file (preschedulecmd

        "I:\ADSM\COMMANDS\WINNT\PRECMD.BAT > C:\PRE.TXT")
        The file is created, but has a size of 0 bytes.

        Do you think this problem will be solved by the September PTF?
