If your offsite volumes are in a copypool, which they should be, you
can run reclamation on the copypool to pack the data from multiple
volumes on a single tape. If the tape volumes are marked offsite,
adsm will use the onsite data to reclaim the volumes. Once the
volumes are reclaimed they are marked empty. Setting the empty
volumes to access=readw will return them to the scratch pool.

When working with a manual tape library, and using EXPIRATION to release
previous copies of files, at some point old tapes should be re-used.
Is there anyway of asking ADSM which tapes it will use and in which order so
that these can be retrieved from the off-site firesafe before excution
commences?
