Destroyed volume label on DDS2 volume
1998-07-21 09:55:08
Hello, colleages,
One unfortunate ADSM operator was stupid enough to put DDS2 volume into a
drive without a request from the server. As a result the volume label area
was completely wiped out. and the volume data is inaccessible. The worst
thing is that the volume with the erased label is the one that is currently
used for migration from disk pools. My disk pools are full and migration
process doesn't start.
I have OS/2 v1 server with SONY SDT-5000 drive. IBM PS/2 85 with IBM F/W
SCSI-2 adapter.
I would like to 1. recover data from lost volume(s) and continue my backups
on a new one.
regards, Anton.
