I am trying to get our new 3590 library to work with adsm 2.1.7.  We are runnin

on os/390 version 1.3.  After defining a devclass, storage pool, copygroup
and management class, I tried an archive to this tape unit.  The following
is the relavent abstract from the server activity log.

07/10/1998 11:50:10  ANR9999D PVRCART(1461): UCB Device Type bytes 3/4 are
                      80/83, not a recognized CARTRIDGE device.
07/10/1998 11:50:10  ANR1404W Scratch volume mount request denied - mount
                      failed.
07/10/1998 11:50:10  ANR0525W Transaction failed for session 212 for node
                      STANLEY (HPUX) - storage media inaccessible.


Any ideas?
