John,
I have not seen that happen on our v3 server. But, one of our v2
servers likes to reboot itself during our morning data migration from
disk to tape. Sometimes it happens 3 times in an hour. During the hour
we have migration occurring, we have user access disabled. We think it
might be a processor error within the hardware, but we do have a PMR
open with IBM. (Which now that I think about it, I have not heard
anything about in quite a while.)

I would look into the hardware you have, ho many processes are running
throughout the day,, look at the event viewer, the errorlogs, etc.
Those logs, etc., might give you an idea of what's going on. The
clients should have nothing to do with this reboot unless they are all
accessing the server at the same time to do processes and your
configuration settings are not set to handle that. (We have ours set to
handle 25 clients at a time, at 90%.)
Let me know what you find out, as this setting is what we are migrating
to.

Jennifer
