The likelihood of 1-4 being correct is extremely remote.
Follow these steps:
C:> cd win32app\ibm\adsm\utils
C:win32app\ibm\adsm\utils> LBTEST -dev lb6.0.0.2, where lb6... is what you
saw in the server utilities diagnostic window.
Select Manual Test
Select 6: Open. If the open is successful, LBTEST is successfully
communicating with the robot. If the open fails, you have most likely not
entered the correct SCSI address indicated in the ADSM Server Utilities
Diagnostic program.
Select 8: Ioctl Return Element Count
Select 9: Ioctl Return All Library Inventory. This will show all of the
library elements. It will also show what is in each element (i.e. drive,
slot etc.) Look for the drive numbers and the element numbers for those
drives. You will use these in the ADSM Define Drive commands.
The last command will scroll by fast. Make sure your dos window will let
you scroll back so you can find the drives and element numbers. You've got
to do this in the order I've shown. YOu should then have what you need.
