You have two options:

1)  Let port 1500 through the firewall.  You will need port 1501
if you use polling to schedule backups, and 1580 if you want to
do admin via web interface.

2)  Change the backup port to something like 80 (http) where
most firewalls have the port open already.

I recomend the first.
