Try the checkin command with search =yes
syntax: "checkin libvol libraryname status=private checklabel=yes search=yes"
(note***do not place a volume name in this syntax, the search command will
search for available volumes. After the checkin command runs, search in your
activity log and you will see what tapes it found).
