One of our MVS DB2 DBA's wanted to do the same type of thing, ie getting
notification from MVS to a workstation.  He was able to do it by
wrapping the data with SMTP control statements and ship it that way.  He
had the additional complication of not having SMTP installed on MVS, so
he had to send it to the SMTP machine on the VM system via NJE.
