I had the same pb when labeling several tape on a STK9714 with ADSM NT 3.1.
I have solved the pb by changing the FASTLOAD Value on the STK9714

May be check the following point :
Update the DLT7000 Drive Firmware
Update the STK9710 Library Firmware
FASTLOAD Enable on the Library
