Hi,

The past few days I've been having problems with a client node continuing to
attempt to do an incremental backup of /afs among the filesytems I wish to
back up. I DO NOT want /afs backed up for the obvious reasons :-). Here are
some of the particulars about our setup.

ADSM v2 running on AIX 4.1.4 (client)
ADSM v2 running on AIX 4.1.5 (server)
dsm.opt file has: domain /u1/oracle.aix6000 /rmd01 /etc
where /etc is a Virtualmountpoint setup in dsm.sys
/u1/oracle.aix6000 and /rmd01 are mounted filesystems

Inclexcl file has the following line:

Exclude /afs/.../*

I can run dsmc incr <filesystem> individually from the client without a
problem, but anytime I run the scheduled dsmc incr it attempts to try and
do the incremental backup of /afs on the client.

There's probably something obvious that I'm missing. I'd appreciate any ideas
on what might be causing this. By the way, we have a similar (although note
exact) client setup for a SunOS machine and it does not have this problem.

Thanks,

Neal
