If you installed with the option of using 1 dataset for both ba_dsm.opt and
sa_dsm.opt  or not you can add it to the dsm.opt under the baclient as a
line in the options file.  schedlogretention  15  d  says to prune the log
every 15 days.

Subject:  Client Option Sets with V3 server




In the Admin Guide for ADSM V3 on  MVS  it shows an example of defining a
client option of schedlogretention.  It then says to see the Admin
Reference for the valid options.  Schedlogretention is not on the list in
the Reference, though it's used in the example in the Admin Guide.  I tried
to define it anyway, and couldn't.  Does anyone know if schedlogretention
is a valid option to specify in a client option set?  I'd love to get away
from having to add that to every client option file.
