Exchange client error

I have just installed the "try and buy" exchange client on my NT 4.0,
sp3 server. But when I try to backup the information store and
directory I get "exchange error : access is denied" . I am able to
run the win32 backup client on this same server without any errors
(ie, I can backup the files and registry ok).
Has anyone seen this ?
