I got the same error in the following contex : AIX server 3.1.1.1,
NT client 3.1.0.1 and 3.1.0.3., when I'm doing
dsm incr c: d:
If I'm doing the same in command mode : dsmc i c: d:, I get an other ANS4...E
with the same log in the dsmerror.log "cannot create a entry for the file/direc
tory.
The problem comes on several directories (exclude them doesn't help)
for instance D:+MS+SMS+LOGON.SRV (short, normal directory name).
Perhaps will this bug be corrected with next NT client 3104 in june 1998 ?

To conter the problem, I use know the following command (with stars)
dsmc i c:* d:*

If anybody has better news, your welcome. Hopla.
