You've hit the limit!  I have never seen it documented anywhere, but IBM
researched it for me and found that limit.
You may want to backup your DB more often to keep the recovery log from
filling up.

We currently have 5GB of log allocated to ADSM (yes, we are in
rollforward mode) and trying to define an additional 2GB volume
resulted in the following message:
ANR2452E DEFINE LOGVOLUME: Maximum recovery log capacity
exceeded.
Is this maximum figure documented somewhere? If so, can someone
please point me in that direction?
