To reply to your question on large systems, at our shop we take care of
7 TB of data.  We have a 110 clients of all types and backup on a daily
basis about 60 to 75 GB per night.  We do this with a DB of 7 GB, a
recovery log of 500 MB and a DASD pool of 30GB.  Our MVS system has no
problem with this system.
