howdy,

i just replaced a 4gig drive for a linux box. and i took the approach that
i wanted adsm to do a restore. but since last night it took almost 18
hours for the server just to examine the file space. (around 224,000
files) then it started to restore files about noon today. and i'm
expecting it'll take 4-5 more hours for this process.

we run a v2 server here on a rs/6000 c10 box. will upgrade to v3 a while
after. does anybody know if this is normal? i should have just mounted the
old drive somewhere and copy/ftp the files over.
