My comment about the mirroring (still) is that if you have a stable
system, you can save a lot of resources by NOT using the recommended(?)
mirroring.  Mirroring is mirroring and you would hope that what is
written to mirror1 is the exact same as mirror2, since I wouldn't expect
the server to think/edit the data that it writes out secondly.  The
exception to this is if there is a mid-flite write that has the rug
pulled out from under it.  Assuming that is not frequent, you can
recover from your DB backups.
