ADSM won't write a 2nd file on a dbbackup volume.  If your server is on
mvs, and dfsms is running there too, you could direct the triggered
incremental backups to sms disk by setting up an adsm deviceclass with a
devicetype of FILE.  ADSM will then write the dbbackups to sms disk, and
then hsm will migrate them and fill its tapes.  Check with your mvs dr
people to see when hsm would be functional at the dr site and how you would
retrieve the adsm incremental dbbackups from the hsm offsite tapes.

Anyone know if there's a way to write database backuptapes to the same
volume. Each time the Databasebackuptrigger kicks in, the system keeps
asking for a scratch volume. I'd like to fill up one of these 75 dollar
tapes before they get sent off site <g>
