Yes, I have done backup & restore of .pst files successfully.
The problem is that if MS Exchange/Outlook is open when an incremental
backup runs, the .pst files are usually locked and will not back up at
all.  You have to be sure the user is logged out of Exchange or Outlook,
or that they run selectives of the .pst files.
