Probably.
1. Find out the address of your ADSM server - the admin may have set up
a DNS alias for it, or find out the numeric IP address.
2. From the AIX command line, make sure you can PING that address.
3. Look in usr/lpp/adsm/bin/dsm.sys. The TCPSERVERADDRESS parm should
specify the alias name or IP address of the ADSM server.
(If you don't have a dsm.sys, you will probably find a dsm.sys.smp. You
have to copy dsm.sys.smp to dsm.sys and customize it for your AIX node.
Same for dsm.opt.sys.)
Hope that helps.

Subject: Help!: ANS4017E Session rejected: TCP/IP
connection failure
We're just setting this up on our AIX node, and we get the
above message. I know what the text of the message means
but don't see how it applies to us. Can anyone offer a
novice some help here?
What do I look for? Is a config file incorrectly setup?
Thanks
Daryl
