You could make use of the MOVE DRMEDIA WHERESTATE=VAULTRETRIEVE to generate a
checkin macro. For example:

move DRM * wherest=vaultretrieve tosta=courierretrieve toloc="back to base"
cmd="checkin libv 3494robot &vol status=scratch devt=3590 checklab=no"

One line in the file will be written for each volume, with the volume name
substituted correctly.

  do the moves from vaultretrieve to courierretrieve first,
  then put the tapes back,
  then execute the checkin macro
  then do move drm from courierretrieve.

It's important to get the tapes in and checked in *before* the final move drm :
otherwise adsm thinks they are available and can ask for them (to be checked
