ADIC 1200D and checkout libvolume

We are trying to setup an ADIC 1200D for ADSM V2.1 PTF 0.12 on OS/2
The library is working. We can label tapes, we can backup to a tape, we can
audit a volume,
just when we issue a
CHECKOUT LIBV AUTOLIB DSM009
the Server traps with a SYS3175.
ADSM shows the following message:
