We have an ADIC Scalar 218 with twin tape drives (30gig DLT Tapes). WHen
we
do incremental backups from clients direct to tape we get a maximum
transfer rate of 3 gig per hour. When I do a tape to tape copy (backup
copypool) the rate drops to less than 1 gig per hour. With 40 gig of
online
storage it takes almost two days to do the process, This is absurd. I need
to send tapes off each day. The ADSM server is a RS6000 F50. What can be
going on???????
