Roger,

 When I have run a process using an AT command, the only way to kill is to
use task manager on the server and kill it as a process, not an
application.

Can notes not be run as a service?

If you need to interact with it as a console, I suppose you could issue a
batch file with the start command and the ntserver.exe.  There are parms to
control how a pgm starts in this command.  I do not know what will happen
when people log off and on.
