We are running ADSM on an AS/400 and are experiencing the same problem on a
backup or archive function immediately following a policy set change.

IBM have not yet been able to identify the problem.  When they find the
cause I will most certainly post the resolution.

Subject:  Backup fails




Hello,

Two of our IRIX clients are suddenly unable to complete their
incremental backup.
The backup starts normal and runs for several minutes, but
then it terminates with a TCP/IP error.
Using 'query act' we see the following messages:

09/25/97   00:06:06  ANR0444W Protocol error on session 6799 for node
                      VRLAB-1.SARA.NL (IRIX) - out-of-sequence verb (type
                      MigrRtrv) received.
09/25/97   00:06:06  ANR0484W Session 6799 for node VRLAB-1.SARA.NL (IRIX)
                      terminated - protocol violation detected.

Has anyone seen this before?
