K.,

We encountered this problem when we first tried to run ADSM on a Mac.

To resolve, open the folder where ADSM is installed. Select the backup
client (if backing up manually) or the scheduler client (if using
schedules) application with the mouse by clicking once. Then choose
File/Get Info (a keyboard shortcut is cloverleaf-I). This will bring up a
panel with information about that application.

Within this window, will be a Memory Requirements box, which will allow you
to specify values (in Kb) for Minimum and Preferred. Plug in any value you
like. We work pretty well with 6000K and 6500K but you may want to adjust
that one way or the other. Then double-click the little box in the upper
left-hand corner of the window to close and save the values.

Subject: Mac Client

Hi all,

I'm trying to backup a large volume (located on a WinNT Server) with the
ADSM Macintosh Client, but I always get an error message that memory is
running low and that I should increase the partition size. But WHAT
partition size ?? Can somebody help me, I'm not a Mac specialist. Is
the partition size an Option in ADSM or in MacOS. The Readme-File of
ADSM say's that ADSM is shipped with a partition size of 1.3 MB but
there is no help how to increase it.
Thanks
