On a windows 3.1 pc using the Beame & Whitside tcp layer I keep running
into a server timeout error. The pc downloads about 3 meg out of 12 meg
before timing out.
I have set the following in dsm.opt file to maximize the settings.
netbiostimeout 0
netbiosbuffersize 31
tcpbuffsize 32
tcpwindowsize 24
I then tried the lowest settings possible and the information from the
server was slow but it still times out after downloading 3 meg out of
12 meg.
On the MVS 5.2.2 ADSM server I set the timeout to 120 seconds and things
still time out. How high can I go with this???
The pc is on a slow segment of our backbone so what other changes can I
try?
Thank You,
