hi adsmers,

i have a couple of questions about mvs server and omvs client.  i start
our omvs client with the following command:
        nohup /usr/adsm/dsmc sched >/dev/null 2>&1 &

this seems to work fine, but sometimes it doesn't stay running.  I look
in the schedlog on omvs and see these messages:

08/18/1997 08:06:36 ANS4261E Session requires a
NODENAME.
Please add a NODENAME option and retry the
command.
08/18/1997 08:06:37 Will attempt to get schedule from server again in 20
minutes
08/18/1997 08:26:39 ANS4261E Session requires a

what's going on?

my dsm.sys file contains the following:

  SErvername         server
  COMMmethod         TCPip
  TCPPort            1500
  TCPServeraddress   10.252.100.1
*  TCPServeraddress   fgprod
  schedlogname       /usr/adsm/dsmsched.log
  schedlogretention  10
  passwordaccess     generate
  schedmode          prompted
  inclexcl           /usr/adsm/inclexcl.list

another question.  my dsmerror.log isn't being written to at all. are
there parameters i am missing in my dsm.sys file?  how about the dsm.opt
file? mine is totally empty.
