Steve,
Did you try using the domain option on the dsm.opt file for the
client? You can exclude the drives you don't want to backup, i.e.
a CD by not making it part of the domain.

An audio CD in the drive during backup will cause a divide by zero every
time.
IBM is aware of the problem, there is no fix.
Other people have reported similar results with a few odd types of
peripherials.
