What type of tape drive is a IBM 3590; how does it compare to DLT?

Is there a ADSMConnect Agent for Oracle on the Sun platform.

What is the "SP switch" that is referenced throughout this document?

EBU/PV is available today for OPS in the SP2 environment. The EBU/PV function
is planned to be incorporated into the base EBU code with EBU 2.2, which Oracle
targets for an August availability. Do you have any indication as to whether
this is on schedule? Does IBM provide a published order of platform support
for product enhancements, patches and/or new releases, i.e. EBU/PV is available
for the IBM/AIX/RS600 environment, do they then release a version for
SUN/Solaris/Sparc, HP/HPUX/HP, etc.? What vendor order do they typically
release to (Sun first, HP second...)? Is there a typical time lag between a
version being available for IBM products as opposed to other vendors?

What is "PTF12 or PTF13" referenced in item # 29?

Do you have any information on the software compression performance as opposed
to using the hardware compression? Are these type of compression mutually
exclusive?

Is the GUI consistent across platforms? Can I manage/administer multiple
platforms from one console?

What type of database does ADSM use? Are tools provided for the database
maintenance/tuning?

Does ADSM contain distributed device support? Can ADSM back up to devices that
are locally attached to ADSM clients or do you have to have the ADSM server
software running on each machine that has a tape device attached to it? Does
ADSM support multiple server (physical) connections to a single tape library?
How are server licenses procured?

Does ADSM have any product comparison information available (ADSM vs. Legato,
ADSM vs. AXXION-NetBackup, ADSM vs. Cheyenne, etc.)?

Thanks for any help and input.
