ADSM data security

To stop data travelling across the wire in clear you can tunnel the
ADSM traffic protocol with SSH using port forwarding. TCP/IP only,
you need machines that you can get SSH clients for (UNIX, Windows).
I just tried it now. dsmc and dsmadmc worked just fine between a pair
of SPARCstations.
Of course, then you have to trust who has access to files on the
server. Anyone with rights to change a node password on the ADSM
server can then retrieve their data ;) ... blah blah ... unlocked
offices ...
