There is a Red Book that details a "cold metal restore" for most of the client 
platforms.  Go to IBM's web site and search on Red Books.  You should be able 
to find it from there.

The basic technique is to install OS/2 on the revived system, install the ADSM 
Client, connect to the ADSM server using the dead client's node and password 
information, and restore the disks, including the system disk.

I've way over simplified the technique, but that is essentially it.
