I think that the best, altho, most difficult solution would be to use
something such as Programmable Operator or WAKEUP in a separate machine
to which the server console would be SCIFed.  The advantage of a WAKEUP
driven solution would be being able to use the timer facilities.  With
PROP, you would probably still need another WAKEUP or VM/SCHED type of
machine to kick off timed events.

I run with the DSMSERV console SCIFed to one of my id's all of the time
as a way of entering admin commands.  As our useage goes up, tho, the
amount of   message traffic is getting to be a problem.
