We went through this same process. Before we turned collocation on, we marked
all our tapes currently in use as read-only. Then, over a period of time, we
issued move data commands for these tapes until all the tapes were collocated.

Greetings, ADSM-L wizards!

We have just installed ADSM and a couple of 3590 tape drives.
When I set up ADSM originally, I turned colocation off. I'd now like
to turn colocation ON to improve restore times.

I'd like to move the data off my existing volumes (not colocated) to
new scratch volumes (WITH colocation), then return the original
volumes to the scratch pool.

Has anyone done this? What is the best method for doing this?

Thank you in advance.
