After a long absence from ADSM, I finally have another ADSM server...
whew. It's been a long break. However, this one happens to be on NT,
rather than the VM server I know and love.

This box has a Connor 3800 QIC 3080 SCSI tape drive attached, which the locals
claim will do 2G on a tape. Since it's not listed in the TYPE=QIC
table in the administrator guide, and it isn't a changer, I'm using
it with the base NT driver and the GENERICTAPE driver. The rub is
that I'm only getting 123M per tape. Is this normal for this type of
drive?

In an attempt to raise the amount of data, I tried UPDATE DEVCLASS
QIC3080 MAXCAP=2G and got "MAXCAP not valid for TYPE=GENERICTAPE
devices". This seems wrong -- how else am I going to tell it how big
the tapes are?

Any suggestions?
