Matti,
        We're running with a similar environment (R30+ , 2 processors, 756 MB
memory) and have had no major problems with performance... a couple of
things you can check...

1) Increase your LOGPOOLSIZE and BUFPOOLSIZE - check the output from a Q
LOG F=D and a Q DB F=D. For the database you want a very high cache hit
ratio - 99% or better if you've got the memory to spare. For the
recovery log, make sure it shows no pct. wait (Q LOG F=D) - if it does,
increase the log size. I've got our LOGPOOLSIZE set to 32768 and out
BUFPOOLSIZE set to 65536. Note - the ADSM server at 2.1.5.12 will need
a special patch, available at the anonymous FTP site, to run with high
poolsizes.

2) Network interfaces - how many network interfaces does your system
have and what kind are they ?? If you've only got 1 token ring or
ethernet card, consider adding at least one additional card.

3) I/O - make sure your database and recovery logs are on separate
physical volumes and, if at all possible, separate interfaces if you're
using SCSI. If you're using SSA disks and adapters this is not as big
an issue but your should still try to put them on separate physical
volumes. For disk storagepools, try to put them on separate physical
volumes also.

Hope this helps...
