We have the ADSM server set up under HA. We haven't implemented HSM yet,
but from what I've heard, HSM is not HA compatible yet. I think they're
supposedly working on it. Until then, we will only implement HSM on nodes
without HA.

We only use ADSM on the nodes on our RS6000 SP2, so we have them all
pointing to the switch alias which is the only IP address available if the
server fails over. The disk storage pools and database are on shared,
external drives and they get switched over. Also, our 3590 tape drives are
dual cabled to both nodes in the cluster. It works quite well.

Hello !

I have just join this forum few days ago and I wanted to ask you
something:

One of our customers work with HACMP. He want to buy ADSM and to
implement HSM, DRM as well as backup and archive (including oracle
backup). They have only AIX machines over there.

Does some one ever integrate ADSM into HACMP complex ? If so, how does
the HSM work ? Is there any special action you need to do ?

What about the hardware switching during a failure ? Do you have any
special recommendation ?

Thank for any help !
