Hi ADSM'ers
having installed PTF12 yesterday ( thanks to Dirk Kastens tips ! ) I
tried the
/usr/lpp/adsmserv/bin/lbtest.
on our ACL 4/52 robot.
As far as I understand it, "lbtest" offers the ability to build an
External Library Manager (ELM) e.g. to share a robot between multiple
ADSM-servers ( on 1 or more boxes ), or, as in our case,
between ADSM and the LEEDS Archiving system ( both running on different
boxes, i.e. the robot allows multiple host-connections ).
"lbtest" has a "manual"(human) interface and a batch-oriented interface.
The manual-interface is relativley easy to cope with, but the
batch-interface lacks any description of its parameters, etc.
Q1: does anyone know more of the "batch"-interface ( docs, etc. ) ?
Q2: ( to IBM'ers: ) will "lbtest" reach the status of an officially
announced product ( being part of ADSM ) or is it just a "tool" ?
