Here is a response I got from IBM yesterday.  I'm waiting to hear when
Solaris 2.5.1 will be supported.  Good luck.

 Hello,

 We do not support Solaris 2.5.1 under any current or previous PTFs.

 PTF 6 added the code which prevents installing under Solaris 2.5.1

 because of some reported problems (you would be able to install

 with previous PTF levels but still unsupported and AT YOUR OWN RISK).

     Ok... I did the pkgrm of IBMDSMxx5 for the 2.1.0.5 code and now the
     2.1.0.6 says it won't install... says it is for solaris 2.5 tells me I
     need to use the ip20848 or the ip20849 for solaris 2.3 and 2.4... that
     ip20999 is not for Solaris 2.5.1

     should I have just not come into work today...

     I guess I'll know more when I try to reinstall 2.1.0.5 and hope it
     doesn't die also now... why oh why didn't I stick to RS/6000's & AIX?
