We use for Solaris hosts the same method as for AIX hosts. "System"
data are not backed up using ADSM, we use Sysback for AIX and UFSDUMP
for Solaris. Only "users" data are backups through ADSM.
Although some system files can be backed up and restored through ADSM,
this is not sufficent, I think. Indeed, ADSM needs a "working" Solaris
or AIX host (with ADSM client installed) in order to perform a restore.
So, in case of a hard disk crash, the new disk is empty, and we need a
method for restoring the system (Solaris or AIX) itself, including the
ADSM client. Only UFSDUMP backups (for Solaris) or mksysb/Sysback (for
AIX) can do this, as far as I know.
